August 24, 2014–A public forum on the war in Ukraine took place in Ottawa on August 22 as part of the program of the five-day, Peoples Social Forum in that city. The forum was hosted and organized by the Ottawa antiwar group NoWar/Paix. The speakers were David Mandel and Roger Annis.

David Mandel teaches political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal and has been involved in labour education in the Ukraine for many years.
