The interview with Brian Berletic was originally broadcast on the YouTube channel of Glenn Diesen on June 24, 2025. Glenn Diesen is a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway and a very active podcaster on YouTube and Substack, with tens of thousands of subscribers.
[Much to his credit, Glenn Diesen commences the above interview by explaining that Brian Berletic, a former U.S. Marine now resident in Thailand, has been the leading voice during the past nine years to warn against the warmaking Trump 1.0 and now 2.0 regimes and the deceptions they conduct. He has warned all along against the absurd and dangerous illusions prevalent in ‘alternative’ media in the West that Trump somehow seeks peace with Russia and peace in the Middle East. Trump is said by such sources to oppose the ‘U.S. deep state’. [Diesen has conducted a parallel, informative interview with analyst Gilbert Doctorow, on June 24. Note that Doctorow continues to unashamedly explain that he has been a supporter all along of the two Trump regimes and its mythical opposition to the ‘U.S. deep state’. Doctorow tells the interview, “It could well be that the Trump administration foresaw the possibility of a nuclear attack by Israel against Iran and decided to pre-empt that.” And this: “”I would like to give full consideration to the Trump administration for its actions. [The genocidal Trump 2.0 regime is offering up a textbook example of how to grab headlines and seek to ‘change the narrative’ over the short-lived war against Iran by the genocidal, Judeo-fascist Israel regime and its U.S. enabler and arms supplier. Trump 2.0 claims it is interested in peace in the Middle East and claims further that it brought about a ceasefire between Apartheid Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran. How effective is this ruse? State and corporate media in the West is blaring it 24 hours a day, while much of not-so-alternative media in the West will play along or stumble around in confusion, as it has been doing since the 2016 U.S. election.]
The head of the UN’s nuclear energy agency has given cover to Israel and Iran has paid a heavy price, analysis by Sasan Karimi, in RT News, June 24, 2025 (Sasan Karimi is adjunct professor at the University of Tehran and a director at the Nuclear Watch Network, a think tank founded in Iran in 2025.) …The director general of the United Nation’s International Atomic Energy Association, Rafael Grossi, assumed the role following a contentious election by the agency’s board of directors in 2019. He was re-elected in 2023. The IAEA’s statute advocates nuclear non-proliferation, however, Grossi’s reports have often been ambiguous, raising doubts about Iran’s nuclear program that could be interpreted in multiple ways. Critics argue that the reports, if deliberately misleading, may have contributed to the escalation of tensions leading to Israel’s war, raising questions about Grossi’s accountability, including the possibility that he may be dismissed or stand trial.
[The Iranian legislature and related government agencies are expected to suspend all participation and cooperation with the IEAE. Concerning Ukraine, the Grossi-led IAEA has refused to condemn Kiev’s provocative, past attacks against the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Europe’s largest nuclear energy complex, located on the Dnieper River. Apartheid Israel considers itself as not subject to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspection programme because it is not a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Convenient! Is this not an argument in favor of a comprehensive embargo against the rogue, Israel government, aiming at its dismantling, as occurred in South Africa 30 years ago. The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign was crafted for this purpose? Not suprisingly, the world’s state and corporate media are silent about such a course of action. Why is not-so-alternative media in the West also silent? Instead, it offers distractions and even excuses for the actions of the Trump regime, such as the novel claim that it is Israel that dominates the U.S. government, not the other way around!
